Shearing Day
One of the most important (and fun!) days on our farm.......
On the first Saturday of May, for 13 years we were blessed to have so many of our friends and family come to join us for shearing! It was Alpaca Spa Day! They would all get their heavy winter coats removed, a new hair-do, their nails and teeth done and any needed vaccinations. We sorted, cleaned and graded all of their fibre. We worked under the big yellow circus tent rain or shine! We couldn't do it all in one day without all the help and they kept coming back for the food and company!! Thanks to all!
